Accounting Standards Executive Committee Name Changed to Financial Reporting Executive Committee
The AICPA Council approved a proposed board resolution to change the name of the AICPA’s Accounting Standards Executive Committee (AcSEC) to the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC). In his opening remarks, AICPA Chairman Robert R. Harris pointed out that the new name would better reflect the committee’s evolving role and cover the broader area it addresses.
