Inaugural program provides scholarships and internships to ethnically diverse students

Five students received the inaugural George Willie Ethnically Diverse Student Scholarship and Internship.

The program, created in honor of George Willie, a former chair of the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) Executive Committee and the AICPA Minority Initiatives Committee, provides a scholarship and internship to minority accounting students who intend to pursue a CPA. The AICPA provides up to $20,000 to each student to assist with their final academic year, while one of the PCPS member firms will sponsor each student for an internship during the 2020 tax season.

Recipients of the scholarship, their universities of study, and the firm where they will be interning are listed below:
