AICPA honors service and professional contributions in tax

Jane T. Rubin received the Arthur J. Dixon Memorial Award, and Blake Vickers received the Tax Division Distinguished Service Award.

The Arthur J. Dixon Memorial Award, the highest in the accounting profession in the area of taxes, is given to the CPA who demonstrates true professionalism in the spirit of Dixon. Rubin, who has nearly 25 years of service to the profession, has served on numerous AICPA committees and task forces and currently serves on the AICPA National Accreditation Commission, highlighting her passion for tax education.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the AICPA Tax Division. Recipients must have made a substantial contribution to the division’s work product through notable, extraordinary personal effort. Vickers, who works at Corning Inc., where he focuses on tax policy and governmental/regulatory affairs, serves as a member of the AICPA Tax Executive Committee and as chair of the Global Tax Issues Task Force and has authored AICPA white papers on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development taxation for the digital economy and European Union digital tax proposals.
