Susan Tillery, president and co-founder of Paraklete Financial Inc., received the AICPA’s 2019 Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Distinguished Service Award. The award is granted annually to a member whose volunteer efforts have made significant contributions to the personal financial planning profession.
Over the course of nine years as a volunteer at the AICPA, Tillery has led the revamping of the AICPA PFP Body of Knowledge. She helped create content for the AICPA’s university curriculum in financial planning and the five-part financial planning certificate.
She serves as chair of the PFP Executive Committee. She has also served as a member of various AICPA groups including the PFS Credential Committee, PFP/Tax Strategy Advisory Group, PFP Advisory Task Force, PFP Firm Strategy Task Force, PFS Education Task Force, PFP Pathway Task Force, and PFP Publications & Education Task Force.
