Fifty-eight CPA candidates received the 2017 Elijah Watt Sells Award by earning a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, passing all four sections of the exam on their first attempt and completing testing in 2017.

The award was established in 1923 to recognize outstanding performance on the CPA Exam in honor of Sells, one of the first CPAs in the United States, who was active in the establishment of the AICPA and played a key role in advancing professional education for accountants.
