Keyboard shortcuts for Facebook

By J. Carlton Collins, CPA

Below are some keyboard shortcuts for navigating Facebook a little faster when using Google Chrome. (Note: Your computer may have software installed that conflicts with and prevents these Alt key shortcuts from functioning properly.)

Alt+?   Moves cursor to Jump to menu

Alt+1   Go to Home page

Alt+2   Go to Profile page

Alt+3   Pops up your Friend Requests

Alt+5   Display Notifications

Alt+6   Go to General Account Settings

Alt+7   Go to Activity Log

Alt+8   Go to Facebook's About Facebook page

Alt+9   Go to Facebook's Terms and Policies

Alt+0   Go to Facebook's Help Center

To see more Facebook shortcuts when using other browsers, visit facebook.com.

(Previously, Alt+4 launched Facebook's Messages, but this keystroke combination appears to have been removed.)
