Rajiv D. Banker, Merves Chair and director of the Center for Accounting and Information Technology in the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University, received the 2017 AAA Lifetime Contribution to Management Accounting Award.

The award, sponsored by the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and given by the AICPA, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association (AAA), recognizes professionals who have made a significant contribution to management accounting education, research, and practice.

Banker was recognized for his extensive research and teaching on information technology, performance measurement, and incentive compensation, and the development of new analytical methods for productivity and efficiency evaluation.

Banker has chaired and served on committees of several professional institutions; has served as editor and on advisory boards of leading research journals in information systems, accounting, and operations management; has received numerous awards for his research; and has published more than 150 articles in research journals.
