Isabella Grabner, associate professor of accounting at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, Netherlands, received the 2016 Best Early Career Researcher Award.
The award recognizes the best overall body of research in management accounting and is sponsored by the AICPA and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants on behalf of the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, in collaboration with the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. The award is accompanied by a $2,000 grant.
Grabner’s research explores performance measurement and incentive systems and includes analysis of effort-based versus risk-based incentives and the choice of performance measures in promotion decisions.
