TOPICS
Charles L. McGimsey, the Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting practice leader at Windham Brannon in Atlanta, and Daniel J. Whelan, a retired FBI agent and president of Whelan & Associates in Newport Beach, Calif., received the JofA‘s Lawler Award for the best article of 2015.
Their article, “Forensic Interviews: Plan to Succeed,” which appeared in the August 2015 issue, offers tips on setting up an effective formal interviewing plan for a forensic engagement.
The award is named for John L. Lawler, a former JofA editor and AICPA senior vice president. Winners are chosen annually by the JofA‘s board of editorial advisers. A list of past winners is available at journalofaccountancy.com/lawler.
