Susan F. Haka, senior associate dean and EY Endowed Professor of Accounting at Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business, received the 2016 AAA Lifetime Contribution Award for her years of research on the role of accounting systems in business processes and teaching of management accounting issues.
The award, given by the AICPA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association, recognizes individuals who have made an important mark on management accounting education, research, and practice.
Haka formerly served as president of the AAA. She has published several academic articles, co-authored the books Financial Accounting and Financial & Managerial Accounting: The Basis for Business Decisions, and was the editor for the AAA journal Behavioral Research in Accounting.
