On the road … again

The article in the August JofA about Rod and Amy Burkert and their mobile CPA practice (“Going Mobile,” page 50) took me back 60 years to when my dad had a similar practice. He converted an old milk truck into a mobile office and served three counties in northern California. He used the slogan “At your door bookkeeping service.” Although most of my career has been spent in internal audit, I got my start in business working for my dad’s tax and accounting practice.
