To meet the market’s need for financial expertise in the not-for-profit sector, the AICPA has launched two initiatives: the Not-for-Profit Certificate Program and the Not-for-Profit Section.

The NFP Certificate Program is a 40-hour, on-demand experience covering the essentials of not-for-profit financial responsibility. Because those advising NFPs on financial matters may not necessarily be CPAs, the NFP Certificate Program will allow non-CPAs to earn certification for their duties in the areas of accounting, tax, assurance, and governance. The Not-for-Profit Section provides timely communications, educational opportunities, tools, peer-to-peer information sharing, and access to publications and resources for people who work with or for not-for-profit entities. More information is available at aicpa.org/NFP.
