Joanne Fiore, the JofA’s publisher, was promoted to AICPA vice president–Professional Media, Pathways & Inclusion.
In her new role, Fiore will help develop and advance academic programs for the next generation of CPAs and drive enhancement of diversity and inclusion in the profession. She will also continue to oversee the JofA, The Tax Adviser, CGMA Magazine, and the AICPA family of newsletters.
Fiore joined the Institute in 2006 as editor-in-chief of the JofA, a position she held until 2008, when she was promoted to publisher of Magazines & Newsletters.
Fiore has more than 25 years of leadership experience in publishing, including serving as president of Oakstone Legal & Business Publishing and vice president of Editorial of LRP Publications. She has also served as board chair for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce in North Carolina and as executive director of the Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce in Vermont.
