Q: Help, I removed the clock and date display from my Windows 8 System Tray, but I can’t figure out how to get it back.
A: It is easier to remove the Clock and Date applet than to restore it because you can right-click on the app to hide it, but once the app is hidden, the right-click option is no longer available. To reinstate the System Tray Clock, right-click an unused portion of the Taskbar and select Properties. On the Taskbar tab, click the Customize button next to the phrase Notification area. Near the bottom-left corner, select Turn system icons on or off, select On from the Clock’s dropdown options box (pictured below), and then click OK, OK, and OK.
