 Dale L. Flesher, CPA, Ph.D., CFE, CMA, CFM, CGFM, is the Arthur Andersen Alumni Professor and associate dean in the Patterson School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi. He is the author of more than 300 journal articles, including nine previous contributions to the JofA, and 47 books in 87 editions. He received the 2011 AICPA Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award. He formerly served on the AICPA Council and on the AICPA Foundation Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Mississippi Society of CPAs, the vice president of the American Accounting Association, and a past president of the Academy of Accounting Historians.
