Jeanette Franzel, a managing director of the Government Accountability Office, was appointed to the PCAOB. Franzel has been a longtime participant in the PCAOB’s standing advisory group through the GAO’s role as an observer. She replaces Daniel Goelzer, a founding Board member who helped launch the PCAOB in 2002 and is a former acting chairman.

S. Bruce Wilson was named director of the PCAOB’s Office of International Affairs. He will lead the PCAOB’s negotiations and implementation of arrangements with auditor oversight bodies from outside the United States. Wilson most recently served in the International Trade Group of the law firm of King & Spalding, and spent eight years as the top legal officer of the World Trade Organization.

David Wright, who has spent more than 34 years working for the European Commission, was appointed secretary general of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). Wright has been a senior adviser to the European Commission and most recently served as a member of the EC’s task force on Greece. He replaces Greg Tanzer, who was appointed a commissioner of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
