Paul Bonner is a senior editor for tax for the JofA, The Tax Adviser, and the AICPA Insiders e-newsletters. He also is an adjunct instructor teaching news writing in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Matthew G. Lamoreaux is a freelance writer. He has more than 12 years of experience writing and editing for professional publications, including five years as a JofA senior editor managing coverage of corporate finance, financial reporting and international issues.
Cynthia E. Bolt-Lee, CPA, M.Tax., is an associate professor at The Citadel School of Business Administration in Charleston, S.C., where she teaches taxation, auditing and introductory accounting. She worked eight years in tax and audit practice for international and local firms. Her research interests include tax ethics, accounting education, and the impact of research on practice.
David B. Farber, Ph.D., is an associate professor of accounting at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University in Montreal. He has extensive industry experience, including working at Deloitte as an auditor and consultant. He has also worked as a controller and has operated his own CPA firm.
Stephen R. Moehrle, CPA, Ph.D., is a professor of accounting at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, where he teaches financial and managerial accounting.
Jeff Lenning, CPA/CITP, is the founder and president of Click Consulting Inc., an Irvine, Calif.-based firm that focuses on Excel training, consulting, development and personal coaching. He specializes in teaching CPAs and accounting professionals how to use Excel to streamline their work. His articles have appeared in the JofA and California CPA.
Jeffrey Gilman, J.D., is a JofA copy editor. He has worked for more than 20 years in journalism, starting as a sports writer before moving into news writing and editing. After completing his law degree at Southern New England School of Law in 1998, he practiced law in Massachusetts for three years, focusing on tax collection cases, bankruptcy and divorce, before returning to journalism. He has been with the AICPA since 2006.
Gail P. Petravick, Esq., is an attorney with bankruptcy specialist law firm Ostling & Associates Ltd. Of Bloomington, Ill., and is an adjunct instructor at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business law and a graduate course on the legal elements of fraud examination.
Coleen Troutman, CPA, Ph.D., is an associate professor at Bradley University. She teaches courses on financial accounting and on federal income taxation of individuals, businesses and fiduciaries. She has published articles previously in the JofA, including (with Simon Petravick and W. Peter Schroeder) “Remote Assistance: The Next Best Thing to Being There,” June 2007, page 40; and (with Simon Petravick) “Emergency Rx for Windows XP,” Aug. 2005, page 80.
Mollie T. Adams, CPA, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at Bradley University. She has worked in public accounting in tax and audit and in private industry. She currently teaches financial accounting and conducts research on taxation and taxpayer judgment and decision making.
