Thomas J. Linsmeier was appointed to a second five-year term as a member of FASB, beginning July 1. The reappointment was made by the Financial Accounting Foundation Board of Trustees, which oversees the activities of FASB and GASB.

Linsmeier was appointed to his first term on July 1, 2006. Prior to that, he spent seven years as a member of the accounting faculty at Michigan State University, where he was the Russell E. Palmer Endowed Professor and Chairman of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the university’s Eli Broad College of Business.
