Mark Koziel, CPA, is director–Specialized Communities and PCPS/Firm Practice Management at the AICPA. He oversees the development, ongoing improvement and delivery of services to members in PCPS/Firm Practice Management and the Personal Financial Planning, Technology and Forensic & Valuation Services interest areas, including the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credentials. He frequently speaks on CPA issues around the country. Before joining the AICPA, he was director of media planning for a political consulting firm for three years after spending 12 years in public accounting as a director at a large local accounting firm in Buffalo, N.Y. He was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Paul Bonner is a JofA senior editor responsible for overseeing coverage for CPAs who work in taxation, personal finance and CPA education. He is also an adjunct instructor teaching news writing in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He worked previously as a reporter at The Herald-Sun of Durham, N.C.

He has a B.A. in English and has studied management and economics in the executive MBA program at Elon University.

He specializes in tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, implementing sophisticated tax strategies and preparing private letter ruling requests. He has extensive experience in domestic and foreign estate planning, business succession planning and income tax planning for investors and corporate executives. He is a frequent author for a number of national tax journals. Before joining Keebler & Associates, he was a senior tax manager with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP.
