The AICPA received the 2011 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility.
The award, part of the Greater Durham (N.C.) Chamber of Commerce’s “When Work Works” project, recognizes workplaces for options such as flextime, part-time work and compressed workweeks, which help the business remain competitive and benefit employees.
“Our flexible work programs attract top talent, bringing our members unparalleled service from a staff operating at peak performance,” said Victor Velazquez, AICPA senior vice president– People, Strategy & Enterprise Management, in a press release.
The Institute was also recently recognized as one of the nation’s Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces and was included in Carolina Parenting’s 2011 N.C. Family-Friendly 50 Companies list.
