Dean Earns Public Service Award for Individuals

John W. Dean, a partner at Heard, McElroy & Vestal LLP in Shreveport, La., received the AICPA’s 2010 Public Service Award for an individual. The award recognizes AICPA members who have made significant contributions to their communities.

Dean has donated time to Volunteers of America North Louisiana, the Grayson Foundation, Holy Angels Residential Facility and the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. He is also chairman of the finance committee and is a board member of the nonprofit Christus Schumpert Health System.
