In the May 2010 column (page 78) I wrote about a way to add the day of the week, in addition to the date, in the Windows 7 taskbar. Sherry Stricker, product manager in the Metro Park, N.J., office of Ernst & Young, advised me that you can do the same in XP. All you need to do is expand the height of the taskbar (see screenshot below) by grabbing its top edge and pulling it up. If you can’t grab it, first you need to right-click on the taskbar and uncheck “Lock the Taskbar.”
