Pin a Worksheet, Page or Even an App Like the Calculator to a Screen, and It Will Stay on Top
Q: For years I’ve been looking for an application that would place on my screen a spreadsheet table or an app like the Calculator, and it would remain there as I maneuvered from one worksheet to another or from one file to another. That way I could always instantly reference it wherever I am—even if I’m browsing on the Internet. Is it a dream, or do you know of an application that does this?
A: No, it’s not a dream. I know of a program that does exactly what you’re looking for, and it’s free and can work in Windows XP and Windows 7.
With DeskPins you can, for example, call up the Windows Calculator, pin it to the screen, and not only will it remain on top if you switch files, worksheets or even change to another application, but also it will remain fully functional. It also can be dragged to any place on the screen location (see screenshots below).
To pin an app or window, just grab a pin from the DeskPins icon in the system notification area (taskbar tray) and click on the target to embed the pin.
