A Better Idea
After reading my response in the column item “Design a Personal Paper Calendar in Outlook” (May 2009, page 77), Brandon B. Buhler, manager of Global IFRS and Offerings Services for Deloitte & Touche LLP (USA), suggested another way to create a paper calendar in Outlook.
He says Microsoft’s Calendar Printing Assistant, a free download, imports from Outlook 2007 and can populate the data into its many different types of calendar templates, including trifold options (see screenshot at right). The program is available at tinyurl.com/2noc9j.
To locate the templates, which for some reason are not stored in Outlook 2007, go to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools.
Buhler says he keeps his work and home calendars synced using Google Calendar, and he always keeps a six-month paper calendar with him. His wife also uses the syncing to keep him informed of activities at home.
