It’s very easy. Go to the File menu, click on Page Setup and make sure the Header/Footer tab is selected. Click on the Custom Header or Custom Footer button, depending on which you want, and then, depending on where you want the graphic to appear on the page, click on the Left section , Center section or Right section . Now click on the Insert Picture icon (see screenshot below).
That evokes the Insert Picture dialog box for selecting the graphic you want to use. After you locate the graphic, click on Insert and Excel will place it in the designated spot and display the necessary code (see screenshot below).
Finally, click on OK to close the dialog box and on OK again to close the Page Setup dialog box.
In Word and Excel 2007, it’s even easier. Go to the Ribbon and click on Insert and then on the Header or Footer icon. Then, to select the graphic, click on the Picture icon, which is to the left of the Header icon.
