The answer would be “no” for 22% of consumers in the United States, according to a global online survey. Once they paid their basic living expenses, they had no money left over.
Other countries have the same problem, with Portugal tying the United States. Canada (19%), the United Kingdom (17%) and France (16%) all felt the pinch, as well as the Netherlands (15%), Turkey (14%) and Germany (13%). Chile and South Korea tied for the lowest percentage of pocket-poor people (12%).
