Q. When I copy text from a document or an e-mail that’s formatted in some unusual way and then I paste it into another document I’m faced with the problem of having to reformat it. Is there a simple way to do this?
A. The easiest way I know is to copy the text in the usual way (highlight it and then press Ctrl+C). But then, instead of just pasting it into the new document, click on Edit in the toolbar and then on Paste Special , which brings up this screen:

Then click on Unformatted Text and OK .
