Neil J. Beaton, CPA/ABV, and R. James Alerding, CPA/ABV, shared the 2002 AICPA Business Valuation Hall of Fame Award, presented to them in November. Alerding has been a member of the standards task force for this discipline since 2000. Beaton is a current member of the valuation of private equities task force and has served on the business valuation subcommittee. The award recognizes individuals who have “significantly advanced the BV discipline and improved the valuation profession for CPAs.”
