Orlando Auditor Named Outstanding CPA in Government Beryl H. Davis, internal audit director for the city of Orlando, Florida, won the 2000 AICPA Outstanding CPA in Government Award. The presentation was made at the National Governmental Accounting and Auditing Update conference held in August in Washington, D.C. Davis has had a distinguished career in government over the past 15 years. She currently has audit authority for a $522 million city budget. She is a member of the AICPA professional ethics executive committee and also served as the chairwoman of its members in government committee. The award recognizes CPAs in government who have made significant contributions to the increased efficiency and effectiveness of government organizations and to the growth and enhancement of the profession’s goals. |
