New Accounting Fellow
T he Securities and Exchange Commission Office of the Chief Accountant selected Walter R. Teets for a one-year term as academic accounting fellow. He is a member of the accounting faculty of Gonzaga University’s School of Business Administration in Spokane, Washington.
Teets will do research, take part in rule making, act as liaison with professional accounting standard-setting organizations and consult with companies on accounting and financial reporting. He replaced Robert Lipe, who became the KPMG Peat Marwick centennial professor of accounting at the University of Oklahoma.
