Awards recognize Forensic and Valuation Services volunteers


Elizabeth Woodward, director of Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support at Dean Dorton Allen Ford PLLC, and William Fellows, a partner in Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory, were named Forensic & Valuation Services (FVS) Volunteers of the Year.

Woodward serves as a member of the Forensic and Litigation Services (FLS) Committee and chair of the FLS Fraud Task Force, which she has been involved with since 2016. She was instrumental in several FVS Section initiatives, including development of the FVS Eye on Fraud, a quarterly report on fraud trends and topics. Woodward also serves as president of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and volunteers in her community.

Fellows serves as a member of the FVS Executive Committee and on the AICPA's Certified in the Valuation of Financial Instruments (CVFI) Task Force, a group that helped develop the AICPA's CVFI credential, which launched in 2019. A previous FVS Standing Ovation recipient, he has represented the FVS Executive Committee as a Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC) observer since 2017.

Also, 15 young CPAs were recognized through the FVS Standing Ovation Recognition Program for significant contributions in their accounting specialty areas.

The recipients, who must hold the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) or Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) specialty credentials and must have exhibited exemplary personal achievement, are:
