Picturing a profession

To help capture the profession’s physical history of the past 125 years, the JofA asked AICPA members for machines, books, and other objects used by CPAs in their day-to-day work and education. More than 400 members offered to provide their memorabilia.

Selected objects were shipped to the AICPA’s offices in Durham, N.C., to be photographed. The memorabilia slideshow showcases many of the objects from this unique project. In addition, the JofA produced a poster commemorating the Institute’s 125th anniversary and featuring a selection of these photographs. The free poster is available by logging on to the AICPA Store at cpa2biz.com; search for keyword “125 poster.” Quantities are limited.
