The Institute ended ten years in software development when it sold its ATB and Depreciation product lines to Creative Solutions.

The Institute decided to sell the software lines after carefully considering the needs of its software customers and the rapidly changing technology of software development.

Creative Solutions is a division of Research Institute of America Group (RIAG) and has been a provider of integrated software to accountants since 1979.

As part of the same deal, the AICPA acquired the Seminar Business seriesa series of professional education coursesfrom another division of RIAG, Practitioners Publishing Co.
