William Roberts, former White House reporter for Bloomberg News, was appointed director–Media Relations for the AICPA.
Roberts will serve as the primary liaison with the Washington press and supervise public relations support for the Institute’s legislative, regulatory and tax programs.
Roberts had covered Congress, the White House and the Pentagon for Bloomberg News since 1999. Prior to that, he served as Washington bureau chief and reporter for The Journal of Commerce , covering international trade and transportation. He was also a reporter for the Philadelphia Business Journal , Westchester County Business Journal and a Connecticut radio station.
He reports to Janice Maiman, AICPA vice president–Communications.
